One of my favourite things about spring is finally being able to eat outside again after a long, cold winter. And what perfect excuse to throw a little outdoor brunch than Mother’s Day coming up this weekend? Peony season means the prettiest floral centerpieces (paired with hydrangeas and dahlias to keep the cost down just a bit). Add some pastel plates and napkins, as well as gold cutlery and candleholders, and you’ve got the perfect modern, romantic spring tablescape.
As to what to serve up, my favourite easy brunch recipe is this crustless spinach quiche. Paired with a delicious fruit salad, breakfast sausages, and some fresh croissants, it’s fast become my go-to brunch menu when we’re having guests over.
