We’ve already celebrated Thanksgiving over here in Canada, but American Thanksgiving is coming up and I’ll take any and every excuse to style a pretty holiday table! I wanted to put together something modern, fun, and at the same time super easy for anyone still looking for some last-minute table inspiration. I took all of my white and orange gourds from Halloween (and from our Canadian Thanksgiving tablescape), painted them with some metallic and black spray paint, et voilà!
I used leftover spray paint in copper, gold + matte black to paint half of the gourds. I taped off the stems make the painted ones blend more seamlessly with the unpainted white ones. I love how it turned out! In a perfect world I would have layered even more gourds for a really dramatic look but, alas, pumpkin season is over in Canada. Next year!
The whole table (including the spray painting) took about 20 minutes to put together (plus another hour or so for the paint to dry). So easy! What’s your quick holiday table decorating trick?
