When we visited New York City back in March, we were lucky enough to be able to stay at a friend’s gorgeous apartment in Queens. This is one of my absolute favourite interiors I’ve ever stepped foot in and I wanted to do a proper feature beyond the few photos I shared on Instagram. This space was actually designed by my sister, Lisa (she’s a fashion blogger with an amazing eye for interior design) with the help of her then boyfriend, Marcel (also a fashion blogger), who was kind enough to let us use his apartment whilst he galavants around the world.
All the interior shots sans kiddos were taken by my sis (check out her full apartment post here) because apparently I only take photos of my two tiny humans when we travel these days (note to self: take more photos of pretty scenes). Lisa seriously has the most amazing eye for interior design – you can check out a sneak peak of her LA loft here. I definitely got a lot of inspiration from her when I was designing our home. In fact, I chose our floors because they were as close a match as I could find to these NYC floors. (My love affair with white-washed wood floors first started during our Scandinavian road trip when Isabelle was a baby but was firmly cemented when I visited Lisa and Marcel in NYC back in the spring of 2015). Anyways, enough rambling and now onto the good stuff – the photos. I’ve sourced as much as possible at the end of the post, if you’re interested in any of the pieces.
The view, especially at sunrise (above) is seriously so stunning.
