How is it Christmas Eve in 10 days already? How?! I live for the holidays and knowing there’s only a week and half until the big event has me all sorts of frantic to squeeze in every single Christmas ritual and tradition that I envisioned for this year. One of my favourite things about the holidays is gathering friends and family around our dining table and serving up a delicious homecooked meal. And of course dressing up the table all nice and festive.
This year I’ve added gold cutlery to our dining wares and I have to say: I’m so obsessed! Gold just makes everthing that much more festive, right? Here’s a little Christmas tablescape I put together for an early Christmas dinner. To complement the gold, I kept everything else neutral – decorating with branches we cut off from the bottom of our Christmas tree, black plates + candle holders, white candles + pinecones. For the place setting I added some greenery, a chestnut and a little merry christmas card (made from leftover postal cardstock and the rubber stamp I used for my gift wrap tutorial here).
Loads of pictures below to get you inspired! How are you setting your table this year?
