One of my favourite things to do at the end of a long day is unwind on the sofa with a little Netflix. My hubby and I will order some takeout (usually sushi), pour ourselves some wine, and watch an episode or two of whichever TV show we’re currently obsessing over. We will sometimes binge watch for hours on end which is maybe not the best use of our limited free time but, hey, it’s such a great way of shutting off after a stressful day. When it’s a particularly riveting series, I’ll even admit to sneaking in an episode during the kids’ nap time from time to time. I usually fess up but I’m preeeetty sure I’ve played along with re-watching an episode at least once all the while pretending like I haven’t seen it before. (I have no restraint. Clearly.) Have you done that before? Netflix recently did a survey and found that 46% (fourty-six!!) of global viewers have “cheated” with their favourite Netflix show. Ha! I no longer feel quite so guilty. Apparently Netflix cheating is a thing! 😛
Below are my top 5 favourite Netflix series at the moment. And all of them are definitely good enough to warrant a cheat episode or two. (Insert winky face.)
Suits . What we’re currently watching. Harvey Specter will never get old for me, just saying. Oh and the fact that it’s filmed in Toronto and they care so little about hiding that fact is highly amusing. Fun fact: my hubby and I had a date night in a pub all the while Suits was filming right outside.
The Mindy Project . I basically just laugh cry through every episode. I love how absurd but hilarious every episode is.
Scandal . One of those shows we binge watched like crazy. Kerry Washington is just so darn good.
House of Cards . Another show that we had a really hard time turning off. It got a little less exciting in seasons 2 and 3 so we haven’t watched in a while, but I’ve read that season 4 is the best season yet so you can bet your hiney we’ll be tuning in again soon.
Black Mirror . I’ve never actually watched any of the episodes but I’ve had so many people tell me it’s amazing that it’s at the top of our what-to-watch-next list.
