Starbucks banana nut loaf recipe | Happy Grey Lucky

It’s Valentine’s Day next week and, as per usual, I am wholly unprepared. The only holiday I’m ever on top of is Christmas and that’s because I pretty much live for Christmas for the latter half of the year. We’re pretty low-key for Valentine’s Day now that we have kids, so everything surrounding February 14th has pretty much followed suit. Give me some flowers, a sweet treat, and something homemade, and I’m good to go. Oh and some good takeout sushi. Always.

Hi Sina
Speaking about Starbucks, try this lemon loaf recipe, it is really good, did it twice in the last couple of week, first time with sour cream, second time with greek yogurt. The second time, the loaf was more moist, also the second time I did follow her advice to not mix too much…

Hi Stef, thanks so much for passing that link along! The lemon loaf looks soooo good (love the Starbucks version), I will definitely be giving it a try this week. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! xx

Mmm that also looks so good! Thanks for the recipe. I always do baking with my kiddos on the weekends and I will absolutely be trying both of these on Saturday!

Hi Sina and Jessica,
Just wrote a message, but it did not post.
I just made the lemon loaf again this weekend and it is all gone. Planning to make another one soon.
I never do the icing part, however, my mother in law suggested I mix some lemon juice with granulated sugar and drizzle it over the hot loaf, which I did and it was so good, it gives it a little thin sweet lemony crust, you might want to try this too.

Thanks for the added tip! I’m usually pretty lazy about glazes myself too but I will give it a go 🙂

Hi Sina,

Not sure if you went to Averie’s site recently (lemon cake recipe) but she recently posted about a Starbucks double chocolate copycat, here is the link,http://www.averiecooks.com/2017/02/starbucks-double-chocolate-brownies-copycat-recipe.html, sorry I just give you recipe about sweets!

Hi Stef, no need to apologize, keep them coming! I tried her copycat brownies this weekend actually (thanks for the link!!) and they were soooo good. This cold weather calls for baking sweets 🙂
